Agriculture Commitment

Our Commitment to the Agriculture Industry

Chemical Bank has a long history of serving farming communities across Michigan. Founded in Michigan, we have been committed to the growth of our state for over 90 years.

Agriculture is an important part of our state's economy, and Chemical Bank proudly supports the many farmers that help our state prosper. Our experienced staff of agricultural lenders understands the needs of this unique industry, and we have a number of products especially designed to meet the needs of farmers, agricultural suppliers, and implement dealers.

We want to help all of our customers meet their financial objectives, and have a demonstrated record of success in doing so.

Chemical Bank is committed to meeting the needs of the communities we serve, and local decision-making is important to us. Many of our Community and Corporate Directors across the state make their professions in the Agricultural industry, and are able to provide our lending and banking staff with the advice and guidance necessary to meet the needs of this important market.

Customer Testimonials

We get quick decisions and turn around when we ask for a loan. Chemical Bank has the size and commitment to take care of the larger farmer and processor as well as the small operator. Chemical Bank has provided stability to its customers by not abandoning agriculture when times got tough. I think of Chemical Bank like differential lock; when the going gets tough, you can rely on Chemical Bank to help you get the work done.

Chemical Bank is actively involved in Agricultural lending. Their staff of Ag lenders is friendly, well trained and has a strong agriculture background. They are active in the rural communities and participate in county fairs by supporting county livestock auctions and other projects. They understand the needs of their customers and go the extra mile to take care of their needs.

Importantly, their Ag-lenders go out to the farms and fields and meet in the shops to get to know their agriculture customers and understand what their needs are for the future.

The range of products Chemical Bank offers sets it apart. From operating loans, real estate or commercial loans, pre approved lines of credit, products for financing or refinancing, loans for vehicles, crop, equipment or livestock expense, Chemical Bank can tailor a product to a need.

The same is true on the savings side of the agriculture ledger. From the standard Checking, Savings, Money Market and CD accounts, Chemical Bank offers products like online banking, debit cards, and overnight repurchase agreements to again tailor a product to the farmer's specific need. With Chemical Bank, farmers no longer need to be limited to traditional savings accounts. Beyond that, Chemical Bank offers Trust services that can be an answer to the questions of retirement and succession of the farm, which I think is as important to those in agribusiness as any other issue.

Chemical Bank has not only helped to supply credit for dairy farmers, but they have employees that understand agriculture. The Lake Odessa Livestock Leasing company goes through Chemical Bank for funding of the dairy leases and has formed a partnership that works very well.

Importantly, Chemical Bank is also located in agricultural communities, and farmers within these areas can feel comfortable speaking face-to-face with a banker who understands their business and their needs.
