eBanking - EFTPS Tax Payments On-line

Now your business can enjoy the convenience of making federal and state tax payments online through the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS).

With EFTPS, your business has the flexibility of choosing how you pay your tax deposits.

  • ACH Credit - with this option, you instruct Chemical Bank, via the Internet, to send each payment directly to the Treasury's account at the Federal Reserve Bank from your Chemical Bank account, or
  • ACH Debit - this option allows you to initiate each payment by instructing the Treasury Financial Agent for your area to withdraw funds from your Chemical Bank account and route them to the Treasury's account at the Federal Reserve Bank

And EFTPS is:

  • quick - the average time to make your electronic payment is 1-2 minutes
  • convenient - you can electronically transmit a tax payment transaction to Chemical Bank 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • safe - all transmissions are submitted online with immediate confirmation, which provides you with the highest possible level of security and confidence
  • economical - the bank will not withdraw funds from your Chemical Bank checking account until the due date of the tax payment; this will improve your cash flow and keep your money working hard for you
