Guy D. Merriam, CFP, CRSP
First Vice President and Director of Trust Employee Benefits
Guy has supervisory responsibility for the administration of group and individual retirement plans for Chemical Bank’s Trust and Investment Management Group. Guy earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College. He has a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree from Saginaw Valley State University. He is a Certified Financial Planner® and holds the ICB designation of Certified Retirement Services Professional. He is a member of the Michigan Banker’s Association Trust Retirement Services Committee.
Dave Farkas
Vice President and Business Development Officer
David is the lead New Business Officer for Chemical Bank focusing his efforts on the establishment of new retirement plan clients throughout the state of Michigan and northern Indiana. David’s experience includes 25 years of working with a wide spectrum of plan design issues, participant communication and investment consulting. In addition to his new business responsibilities, David provides administrative support for key client relationships and is the main contact for all third party administrative relationships utilized in Chemical Bank’s outsourced retirement product line-up. David earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Indiana University and is a licensed life agent in the states of Michigan and Indiana.
Jan E. Gordon
Employee Benefits Operations Assistant
Jan is currently responsible for pre-need funeral escrow accounts and qualified retirement plan relationships. She fulfills a leadership roll in originating and processing retirement plan loans and in federal income tax withholding and reporting. Jan has 35 years experience with Chemical Bank including 25 years with the Trust Department. Jan has completed courses offered through the American Institute of Banking, and more recently, software training and user group participation through TrustMark and Corbel.
Herbert E. Hardy
Vice President and Employee Benefits Officer
Herb is responsible for the expansion of record keeping services including new features available for electronic access through the Retirement Planning Center’s website. Herb also serves as conversion specialist for new business, interfacing with staff, human resources professionals and participants of our group plans. Herb has over 20 years experience in trust and benefit administration as well as 7 years experience as a plan administrator for various corporate retirement and welfare benefit plans. Herb earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University.
Craig Mertz
Retirement Plan Education Officer
Craig is primarily responsible for participant education, providing information on investments, financial planning, enrollment and distributions. Craig is a graduate of Michigan State University. He has over 30 years of experience in the securities industry including over 15 years exclusively with retirement accounts. He has securities and insurances licenses in the state of Michigan.
Rudolph R. Radosa, Jr.
Vice President and Employee Benefits Operations Officer
Rudy’s responsibilities include employee benefit administration, compliance functions, prototype plan document preparation, and Form 5500 completion. Rudy earned his Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Northwood University. He is also a graduate of the Midwest Trust School.
Diane M. Schweigert
Employee Benefits Operations Assistant
Diane’s responsibilities include administration of individual retirement account relationships, periodic and non-periodic distributions, as well as account opening, closing and asset transfer duties. Diane has over 35 years of experience with Chemical Bank. She has been the Trust Department’s lead representative at the Michigan Banker’s Association mini-school in IRA compliance and reporting.
Deborah West
Employee Benefits Officer
Deb’s responsibilities include administration of individual and group retirement accounts. She serves as conversion specialist for new business and works closely with the plan sponsor regarding the record keeping, compliance and administration of each plan. She provides employee education programs including information on investments, financial planning, eligibility, enrollment and distributions. Deb has over 24 years of experience in employee benefits including 401(k) and pension plan administration. Deb is a licensed life agent in the states of Michigan and Indiana.
