Chemical Bank's goal is to actively participate in the communities where we live, work and play. Our commitment to the communities we serve is demonstrated through the financial support we give to local organizations and volunteer efforts. Chemical Bank employees are leaders, members and volunteers of charitable organizations and events including Junior Achievement, 4-H, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, and the Chamber of Commerce, among others.
Chemical Bank plays an active role in the financing of community development projects that are aligned with these objectives, while working closely with municipalities and school districts to provide quality banking services. We are devoted to being a good corporate citizen; our dedication to our customers and the communities we serve are genuine and very much at the heart of the values that our Bank represents.
Chemical Bank Foundation Information
Chemical Bank Foundation
Chemical Bank believes corporate responsibility includes making a long-term commitment – to our state, to our employees and to future generations. To reinforce that commitment, in 2012, we established the Chemical Bank Foundation, which will help us to better organize, prioritize and execute our corporate giving over the long-term.
The Foundation will award grants for a variety of worthy endeavors designed to improve the quality of life throughout the Michigan communities we serve. We believe the Foundation will serve to complement the thousands of volunteer hours and ongoing financial support our employees and Chemical Bank provide to a variety of community and statewide charitable outreach and civic programs.
The Goal of the Chemical Bank Foundation
The Chemical Bank Foundation will allow us to better prioritize the financial support we provide our communities with, and importantly will enable us to consider larger scale projects that are focused on improving the quality of life across the communities we serve. The Chemical Bank Foundation will act in the same way that many other Foundations do.
On a periodic basis, the Foundation will request Grant Applications from members of our community and will evaluate each submission based on a pre-defined set of criteria to determine how to best award grant funds.

Grant Guidelines and Application for Organizations
The Chemical Bank Foundation is a private grant-making foundation established in 2012 by Chemical Bank. Chemical Bank believes that corporate responsibility includes making a long-term commitment – to our communities, to our employees, and to future generations. The Chemical Bank Foundation was established to support the quality of life in the communities we serve. The Foundation makes grants to organizations that are screened and selected by Foundation trustees; furthermore, grants will be considered for organizations that operate within Chemical Bank’s defined markets and are intended to support capital projects, specific program costs, and seed monies for new programs and initiatives.
2015 Grant Cycle
The Chemical Bank Foundation reviews grants two times annually. Grant proposal application dates and deadlines for 2015 are:
May 15, 2015 through June 15, 2015
Grants will be made to organizations that have been determined to be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. Our grant-making focus is restricted to communities that Chemical Bank serves.
